About this site
Piedras Pintas offers vibrant reefs teeming with marine life in the Gulf of California. The site features rocky pinnacles covered in colorful corals, sea fans, and sponges. Schools of angelfish, parrotfish, and triggerfish dart through the formations, while octopuses and moray eels hide in crevices. Gentle currents make it ideal for drift diving, with visibility often exceeding 60 feet. The shallow sections suit beginners, while deeper areas attract advanced divers. Water temperatures range from 70-85°F, with the best conditions from May to November. A must-dive for those exploring San Carlos.
