About this site
Pigeon Island lies off the northwest coast of Saint Lucia, near the town of Gros Islet, within the waters of a protected national landmark area of the Caribbean Sea. The island itself was once a British naval outpost and is now joined to the mainland by a causeway. The dive site includes cave features in the surrounding waters, and divers have reported a great white shark sighting here, though this is well outside the species' typical Caribbean range and worth treating with some caution.
