Pinnacles sits off the coast of Santa Barbara County, California, near the Channel Islands, within the cold-water reef systems typical of that stretch of the Pacific. The site reaches a maximum depth of about 18 metres and is considered a beginner dive. Divers here have also reported nudibranchs among the rocky reef.
