About this site
Plymouth Sound is the large natural harbor at the mouth of the Plym and Tamar rivers on the south coast of Devon, England, opening into the English Channel. The area around the Sound includes breakwaters, naval anchorages, and a number of dive sites among the rocks and wrecks scattered through the estuary and adjacent coastline near the city of Plymouth. Depths within the Sound reach around 50 metres, and diving here is rated technical.
