About this site
Pontikonisi, or Mouse Island, sits just off the southern coast of Corfu near the Kanoni peninsula in the Ionian Sea, close to the mouth of the Chalikiopoulou lagoon. The small islet, topped by a Byzantine chapel, is better known as a photographed landmark than a documented dive destination, though diving around it reaches a maximum depth of about 20 metres and is rated intermediate. Divers here have reported nudibranchs, pipefish, and seahorses along the site.
