Port Royal Gorge lies off the eastern end of Roatan in the Bay Islands of Honduras, part of the fringing reef system along the island's north and south shores that forms a section of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Dive sites in this area are typically reached by short boat rides from resorts and dive shops clustered around Port Royal and French Harbour. Divers here have reported common lionfish along the reef, along with marbled chitons, scaly chitons, and West Indian fuzzy chitons tucked among the rock and coral surfaces.
