Punta Cana Reef

Punta Cana Reef sits off the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic along the Punta Cana coastline. Dive operators in the resort area run boats out to the reef systems just offshore from this stretch of coast. The reef bottom here tops out around 15 metres and is rated a beginner dive, though divers have noted that open water conditions can make things a bit more challenging at times. Divers have reported angelfish, butterflyfish, damselfish, moray eels, parrotfish, snapper, stingrays, sea turtles, and even manta rays around the reef.
