Punta Carlo lies along the coast of Korcula island, in Dubrovnik-Neretva county in southern Croatia, an area where the Adriatic Sea meets a rocky, indented shoreline. Dive sites near this part of the island are typically reached by short boat trips out of the local coastal towns. Divers here have also reported sightings of Napoleon wrasse and surgeonfish, species not typically associated with Adriatic waters, though not something noted at every visit to the site.
