About this site
Punta Molas marks the northernmost point of Cozumel, an island off the Caribbean coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, in the state of Quintana Roo. The point sits well beyond the main hotel zone and reef sites on the island's west side, facing open water where the Caribbean Sea meets the Yucatan Channel. The dive here is a shallow reef site, reaching only around 2 metres, and is rated beginner. Sea turtles are a common sighting, and divers have also reported barracuda, nurse sharks, and octopus along the reef.
