Qita'el Banna lies off the Red Sea State coast of Sudan, within the reef and offshore island system that runs along the Sudanese Red Sea. This stretch of coast is accessed mainly by liveaboard out of Port Sudan, threading between scattered reef patches and drop-offs in open water. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 21 metres and is rated as a beginner dive.
