About this site
Rainbow Reef lies off South Bimini, the smaller of the two main Bimini islands on the western edge of the Bahamas facing the Straits of Florida. The area sits close to deep water dropping toward the Gulf Stream, and dive sites off Bimini are typically reached by short boat runs from marinas on the island. The reef reaches a maximum depth of around 30 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported dugong sightings here, though that is not something you should expect on every dive.
