About this site
Rainbow Reef sits off the Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, in the waters of the Hawaiian archipelago. Dive operators based along this leeward coastline commonly run boat trips out to reef sites in this area. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 20 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have also reported pufferfish and triggerfish on the reef.
