About this site
Ras Al Akhdar sits along the Abu Dhabi coastline of the United Arab Emirates, near the western end of Abu Dhabi island. The reef here is shallow, with a maximum depth of around 5 metres, and is considered a beginner dive. Divers have reported currents around the point, so conditions can pick up there even at this shallow depth. Sightings have included halfmoon angelfish and nudibranchs on the reef, and divers have also reported mola mola and whale sharks passing through.
