About this site
Reeves Beach Barges sits on the north shore of Long Island, New York, in Suffolk County along Long Island Sound. It is a shore dive reached by entering directly from the beach into the shallow Sound waters that characterize this stretch of coastline. The site takes its name from sunken barges resting in the shallows, which draw local divers looking for a structure dive without a boat. Divers here have also reported green sea turtles and Kemp's ridley sea turtles around the site.
