About this site
The Réserve Marine Banyuls-Cerbère lies along the Côte Vermeille in the Pyrénées-Orientales, on the Mediterranean coast of southern France near the Spanish border. It was one of the first marine reserves established in France, protecting a stretch of rocky coastline between Banyuls-sur-Mer and Cerbère where the Pyrenees meet the sea. Diving within the reserve is rated as a beginner level dive.
