About this site
The Robert Gaskin site lies on the Canadian side of the St. Lawrence River near the Thousand Islands region of eastern Ontario, along the reach that runs between Kingston and Brockville, a stretch of river known for its shipwrecks in cold, deep freshwater and popular with divers based out of the nearby river towns. The wreck sits at a maximum depth of around 21.1 metres, rated an intermediate dive with light current and good visibility over a wreck bottom. Divers have reported heavy boat traffic overhead and silt disturbance around the site, both worth keeping in mind given the river setting.
