About this site
Praia Vermelha is a small beach at the foot of Sugarloaf Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, tucked into the Urca neighborhood on Guanabara Bay's mouth toward the Atlantic. Rocky outcrops line this stretch of coast near the cable car station, and local dive operations in Urca use the sheltered water off the beach for shore access.
