Royal Savoy sits along Madeira's southern coastline near Funchal, in Portugal's Atlantic archipelago, where the shore drops quickly into deep water among the volcanic rock formations, arches, and walls typical of the island's diving. It is rated a beginner dive, making it one of the more accessible sites along this stretch of coast. Like other sites near Funchal, it is usually reached by boat from the town.
