About this site
Rum Point sits on the north side of Grand Cayman, facing the calm, reef-protected waters of the North Sound. It's a beginner-level snorkel site, with a sandy, shallow shoreline that makes it easy to access from shore. Divers and snorkelers have reported Atlantic blue tang, bar jacks, bluehead wrasse, and southern stingrays around the area, along with corals such as lobed star coral, massive starlet coral, and mustard hill coral, plus the occasional red cushion sea star on the sandy bottom.
