About this site
Rummu Quarry lies near the village of Rummu in Harju County, Estonia, not far from the town of Vasalemma and within reach of Tallinn to the northeast. It is a flooded former limestone quarry, once worked with Soviet-era prison labor from the nearby Murru prison, and the site is now known for its clear flooded pits with submerged mining equipment, buildings, and trees visible beneath the surface. The surrounding area still shows the old quarry buildings and sandy cliffs above the waterline. Diving here reaches a maximum depth of around 13 metres, making the submerged structures and vegetation accessible without going particularly deep.
