About this site
Sachen lies off Carenero Island in Bocas del Toro, an archipelago on Panama's Caribbean coast known for its mangrove channels and coral patches between the islands, and is typically reached by a short boat ride from Bocas Town. It's a reef dive with a maximum depth of around 12 metres, rated beginner. Nurse sharks are a common sight here, and divers have also reported angular brittle stars, green porcelain crabs, and lobster tucked into the reef. Some divers have noted strong currents at the site as well.
