About this site
Salawati Island sits within the Raja Ampat archipelago off the coast of West Papua, separated from the Bird's Head Peninsula by the Sele Strait. This wreck dive site off the island reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. It is one of several sites reached by boat from bases such as Sorong, along the coastlines and passages scattered around Salawati and the smaller islands nearby.
