About this site
Salt Pond offers a gentle dive with calm conditions, ideal for beginners. The shallow reef slopes to 40 feet, teeming with colorful tropical fish like butterflyfish and parrotfish. Turtles often glide past, and eagle rays occasionally visit. Lava rock formations create swim-throughs and small caves to explore. Visibility is typically clear, around 60 feet. The site is protected from strong currents, making it a relaxed dive year-round. Nearby, a sandy bottom hosts garden eels and occasional octopus sightings. Easy shore access adds to its appeal.
