About this site
Scoglio Sommerso sits off Monte Argentario, the rocky promontory on the coast of the Province of Grosseto in southern Tuscany. This stretch of the Tyrrhenian coast is known for its submerged rock formations and is typically reached by boat from the harbors around the Argentario peninsula. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported barracuda, damselfish, grouper, lobster, moray eels, nudibranchs, and scorpionfish among the rocky terrain.
