About this site
Scraggane Bay sits on the Maharees peninsula on the north Kerry coast, facing into Tralee Bay on the Atlantic side of Ireland. The Maharees is a narrow strip of dunes between Tralee Bay and Brandon Bay, and Scraggane Bay itself is a small harbour and slipway area used by local boats on the eastern side of that spit. As a shore dive entered from this slipway, it is rated a beginner site.
