About this site
The Seafire wreck lies off New Zealand's coast in the Bay of Plenty area, based on its coordinates near Tutukaka-style channel waters. It reaches a maximum depth of around 25 metres and is generally considered an intermediate dive. Visibility can turn poor around low tide, and divers have noted strong current around a nearby fly point along with a risk of surfacing under boats in the channel, so care with timing and positioning matters here. Divers have also reported frogfish, humphead wrasse, nudibranchs, pipefish, and seahorses around the wreck.
