About this site
Setchel Point offers a dramatic wall dive in Saanich Inlet, dropping to 100 feet with vibrant plumose anemones and cloud sponges. Strong currents bring nutrient-rich waters, attracting wolf eels, octopus, and schools of rockfish. The steep slope transitions to a sandy bottom at depth. Best dived during slack tide for visibility up to 40 feet. Cold water year-round requires proper thermal protection. Nearby kelp forests shelter juvenile fish and invertebrates. Accessible by boat from local marinas.
