The Seven Brothers Islands, or Sept Frères, form a small volcanic archipelago in the Bab-el-Mandeb strait off the coast of Djibouti, where the Red Sea meets the Gulf of Aden. The islands sit within a stretch of water known for strong currents driven by the funneling effect between the two bodies of water.
