About this site
Shark's Bay sits along the coast north of Naama Bay on the Sinai peninsula near Sharm El Sheikh, on the Red Sea. The site takes its name from the bay itself rather than any guarantee of shark sightings, and it is a shore and boat access point used by local dive centers in the area. The reef here reaches a maximum depth of around 58 metres, though it is rated a beginner dive overall, with easier depths available closer to shore. Divers have reported eagle rays, lionfish, moray eels, humphead wrasse, nudibranchs, and even whale sharks passing through.
