About this site
Shark Alley is a reef dive on the eastern edge of Aliwal Shoal, off Umkomaas, and it is listed together with Raggie Cave. The average depth is 14 metres.
The site is best known for groups of ragged tooth sharks in winter. They are not overtly aggressive, but they should never be approached too closely. Surge can affect the site, and it must be dived very carefully when it is surgy.
