About this site
Rangiroa sits within the Tuamotu Archipelago of French Polynesia, one of the largest atolls in the world, with dive sites concentrated around the passes that connect its lagoon to the open Pacific. Shark Cave lies in this same setting near the atoll's channels, where boats from the main villages of Avatoru and Tiputa reach the outer reef slopes and pass entrances. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 23 metres.
