About this site
Montague Island lies off the far south coast of New South Wales, near Narooma, and its surrounding waters are a well known marine reserve reached by boat from the mainland. Shark Gully sits among the reef and rocky terrain that fringes the island, an area known locally for grey nurse shark sightings along the New South Wales coast. The island itself is a granite outcrop with a lighthouse and a seal colony, and dive operators running trips there depart from Narooma.
