About this site
Shark Point lies off Mombasa on Kenya's Indian Ocean coast, within the reef system that runs along this stretch of the East African shoreline, and is typically reached by boat from Mombasa's coastal harbors and beach resorts. The site sits over a reef bottom to a maximum depth of around 23 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Reef sharks are a regular sight here, and divers have also reported grouper, Napoleon wrasse, and scorpionfish on the reef.
