Shark Ridge lies along the reef fringing Apo Island, a small volcanic island off the southeastern tip of Negros Oriental near Dauin in the Visayas region of the Philippines. Apo Island sits within a long-established marine sanctuary known for its protected reef system, reached by outrigger boat from the mainland town of Dauin or from Zamboanguita.
