About this site
Sharp Island, known locally as Kiu Tsui, sits in Port Shelter (Hebe Haven) off the Sai Kung Peninsula in Hong Kong's New Territories, reached by sampan or boat from Sai Kung town. On land the island is known for its unusual tombolo sandbar that connects it to a smaller islet at low tide, and the dive site on its southern side, Sharp Island South, offers a reef dive to a maximum depth of around 12 metres. It is rated a beginner site, making it an accessible spot within Port Shelter's sheltered waters.
