About this site
Shiprock lies off Port Hacking near Cronulla in southern Sydney, close to the entrance of the Royal National Park coastline. It is a rocky reef and wall formation reached by boat from the Cronulla area, sitting along the stretch of coast where the Port Hacking estuary meets the Tasman Sea. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 18 metres and is rated an intermediate dive. Divers have reported cuttlefish, nudibranchs, and octopus along the wall, and boat traffic overhead along with tidal flow through the area are worth keeping in mind when planning a dive here.
