About this site

Small Giftun Island sits in the Red Sea off Hurghada, within the Giftun Islands protected area reached by boat from the city's marinas. This drift along its wall runs to a maximum depth of around 100 metres and is rated technical. Divers have reported barracuda, moray eels, Napoleon wrasse, parrotfish, sea turtles, and tuna along the wall, alongside the currents that give the site its drift character.
