Snake Bay

Snake Bay lies along the southwestern coast of Curaçao, part of the fringing reef system running along much of the island's leeward shore. Like many sites in this stretch, it is typically accessed from shore or by a short boat ride from nearby dive operations. The reef bottom here reaches a maximum depth of around 19.8 metres and is rated a beginner dive. Divers have reported coral cover including greater star coral, lettuce coral, and mustard hill coral, along with reef residents such as smooth trunkfish, western Atlantic trumpetfish, yellow goatfish, and Caribbean bluehead wrasse. Banded coral shrimp and Sally Lightfoot crabs have also been spotted tucked among the reef structure.
