About this site
Something Special, also known as Pali Grande, is a shore dive site along Bonaire's leeward coast, part of the island's fringing reef system that runs close to shore and drops into deeper water. Like most Bonaire sites it is marked by a yellow stone marker along the road and entered from the shoreline over a shallow reef flat before the bottom slopes away. It is rated a beginner dive, suiting the gentle entry and gradual reef slope typical of this stretch of coast. Divers have also reported a manta ray passing through the site, though it is not a regular sighting here.
