South Point lies off the Pacific coast near Puntarenas, Costa Rica, a province that stretches along much of the country's western shoreline, taking in both the gulf waters near the city of Puntarenas and outlying islands further offshore, with dive access typically arranged by boat from the coastal towns in the province.
