About this site
Spanish Reef sits off the Florida panhandle coast in the Gulf of Mexico, near the coordinates given for this stretch of shoreline, roughly in the waters off the Port St. Joe area. It reaches a maximum depth of around 17 metres and is typically reached by boat from the nearby coastal towns. Divers here have reported frogfish and seahorses tucked into the reef structure, along with loggerhead sea turtles passing through.
