About this site
The St George Wreck lies off La Romana on the southern coast of the Dominican Republic, reached by boat from the port town. It sits on a wreck bottom with a maximum depth of around 40 metres and is rated an advanced dive, with divers noting current and depth as the main challenges of the site. Barracuda and grouper are regularly seen on the wreck, and mackerel have also been reported passing through.
