About this site
Stavros sits on the coast near Heraklion in the Maleviziou area of northern Crete, a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 42 metres and rated technical. The area is known above water for a sheltered lagoon-like cove backed by a hill, a spot familiar to many from film history as well as local swimmers and snorkelers, with the bay opening onto the Aegean Sea along Crete's north coast. Below the surface, divers have reported grouper and snapper along the wall.
