About this site
Stingray Reef sits within the Exuma island chain in the Bahamas, an area defined by shallow banks, cays, and coral patches scattered along the Great Bahama Bank. The Exumas are known for clear, calm shallows in many of their leeward spots, with dive and snorkel sites reached by boat from settlements like George Town or Staniel Cay. This particular reef tops out at around 14 metres and is rated a beginner dive over a coral reef bottom. Divers have also reported octopus and wrasse here.
