About this site
Strome Ferry sits on the shore of Loch Carron, a sea loch on the northwest coast of the Scottish Highlands, near the village of Lochcarron. The area takes its name from a former ferry crossing that once linked the settlement to the opposite side of the loch before the road was extended around it. Divers here have reported black brittle stars, common brittle stars, common sea stars, dead man's fingers, European edible sea urchins, and rose sun stars on the loch bed.
