Sunabe Sea Wall

Sunabe Sea Wall runs along the seawall of the Sunabe district in Chatan, on the west coast of Okinawa Island near the American Village area. It is a shore dive site accessed by climbing down ladders set into the concrete wall, with divers dropping onto a sandy and reef slope just offshore over a reef bottom. The site is broken into numbered ladder entry points that local divers use as reference markers along the wall, reaching a maximum depth of around 13.7 metres and rated a beginner dive. Its convenience and easy shore access make it a popular spot for both day and night dives among divers based in the area. Divers have reported batfish, frogfish, garden eels, lionfish, nudibranchs, and octopus scattered along the slope.
