About this site
Sveti Marak lies along the coast of Krk Island near Risika, in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar region of Croatia's northern Adriatic. It is a wall dive reaching a maximum depth of around 40 metres, though it's rated a beginner site overall. Divers have also reported a good range of small reef life here, including Bucchich's goby, red-mouthed goby, Roule's goby and slender goby, along with East Atlantic peacock wrasse, Mediterranean rainbow wrasse, octopus, and warty crab tucked along the rock. This stretch of shoreline is typical of the island's rocky coves and inlets, reached by boat or shore access from the small settlements nearby.
