About this site
Swansea Heads sits on the New South Wales coast at the entrance to Lake Macquarie, well south of North Avoca, near the town of Swansea. The site takes its name from the channel mouth where the lake meets the Tasman Sea, an area shaped by the rocky headlands and the current running through the entrance.
