About this site
Takashima (タカシマ) is a boat site at Tanabe on the Kii Peninsula of Wakayama, with depths of 10 to 28 m. Many rocks are scattered around a main rock, giving varied terrain. Japanese pygmy seahorses, Japanese seahorses and frogfish are seen regularly, and the rare weedy scorpionfish has appeared; the site is suitable from beginner level.
