About this site
Tambisaan is a coastal reef site on Boracay island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines, tucked along the southern shore away from the main White Beach tourist strip. Dive operators on the island run boat trips out to this stretch of coast, where the reef tops out at a maximum depth of around 8 metres, making it a beginner dive with light current and good visibility. Lionfish are a regular sight on the reef, and divers have also reported batfish, eagle rays, fusiliers, lizardfish, mandarinfish, nudibranchs, pufferfish, trevally, and even occasional sightings of thresher sharks and whale sharks passing through.
